1. What shelflife is
shelflife is a public, paid ranking board for content URLs. Anyone can pay a one-time fee to place a publicly-accessible URL on the board. Rank is determined solely by bid value, which burns down 10% per calendar day continuously. Payments are processed by PayPal.
2. Acceptable content
You may not submit URLs that:
- Contain or link to illegal content, CSAM, terrorism, or non-consensual imagery.
- Contain or link to malware, phishing, or credential-harvesting pages.
- Impersonate a person or brand you do not represent.
- Constitute doxxing, harassment, or targeted abuse of a specific individual.
- Violate a third party's intellectual property or trademarks.
See the Content Policy for the full list. We reserve the right to remove any listing at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe it violates these terms or brings the service into disrepute.
3. Payments & bids
- Minimum bid: $5 USD. All prices in USD.
- Bids are final and non-refundable. Paying a bid places or tops up a listing on the public board; you cannot recall it. See §4 for the one narrow exception.
- Bid value burns down continuously at 10% per calendar day. Below the $2 floor, listings persist on the board but stop burning.
- All charges are processed by PayPal. Their terms and privacy policy apply to the payment leg of your transaction.
4. Refunds
See the Refund Policy. Short version: no refunds, except when we take payment and the listing never appears on the board because of a technical failure on our end.
5. Click credits & boosts
We automatically credit listings for real, unique visitor engagement:
- +$0.25 per unique direct click on a listing.
- +$0.50 per unique visitor arriving via a listing's share link (URL with
?ref=). - Uniqueness is enforced per listing per visitor per hour. Circumventing this by rotating IPs, proxying, or bot-clicking constitutes fraud and will result in listing removal without refund and, at our discretion, account ban.
6. Data & privacy
See the Privacy Policy. In short: we log page views for public click counts using a daily-rotating one-way hash of IP + user-agent. We do not store raw IPs, we do not sell or share your data, and we do not use third-party analytics or ad networks.
7. Limitation of liability
shelflife is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
8. Contact
Questions, DMCA takedown, or abuse reports: via our contact form.
